Botulinum toxin (Botox)

A short, outpatient treatment that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for expression lines — softening the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes.

About the treatment

Botulinum toxin type A is a purified protein that blocks the signal between nerve and muscle at the injection site. At our clinic we use only products registered with the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (İEGM) and supplied through authorised Turkish distributors. Sessions take about 20 minutes. Results begin to appear at 3–7 days and reach their peak at two weeks. Effects last, on average, 3 to 4 months.

What we treat

  • Forehead lines (horizontal lines)
  • Glabellar lines (the '11' between the brows)
  • Crow's feet around the eyes
  • Bunny lines on the nose
  • Masseter hypertrophy for jaw slimming / bruxism
  • Underarm hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

The session, step by step

  1. A physician consultation and facial muscle assessment
  2. Photographs for your clinical record (kept private)
  3. Skin cleansing and optional topical anaesthetic
  4. Micro-injections using a fine 30G or 32G needle
  5. A two-week review to top up if needed, at no extra charge during the same treatment cycle

Recovery & aftercare

You can return to work and normal activities immediately. Small pinpoint marks usually fade within 15–30 minutes; occasional pinpoint bruising resolves in a few days. We ask that you avoid strenuous exercise, heat (sauna, hammam) and lying flat for four hours after the session.

Not suitable for

Pregnancy and breastfeeding; known allergy to botulinum toxin or albumin; active infection at the injection site; certain neuromuscular conditions. A full medical history is taken at consultation.
